September 19th 2010 at NOON, A memorial cruise for our fallen brothers and sisters. This year is to Benefit the Glenna Evans Bursary for Emerging Artists c/o Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Below is her King if the Forest Poster Art. She donated 2 pieces to last years event. This year we encourage EVERYONE TO COME TO THIS FREE CRUISE.

The Demonstration Forest Pathway was calling on Sept 20 2009 for 82 hardcore participants to push and bomb the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. King of the Forest 2008 was a huge success with the largest field ever. $1000 CASH and $1000 in PRIZES where awarded to top athletes. These commuters came to test their legs and lungs in the climbs and descents of Mount Seymour’s river basin. Fastest participants came in at 38 mins for 17.5 km traveled. Highest speeds where clocked at 59km/hr. Participants traveled from Portland, Seattle, Vancouver Island and Alberta to push the limits with their comrades on the North Shore, Mount Seymour.

KOTF is an event for all riding levels, styles and ages. From as young as 10 years and well over 40, these participants showed the true diversity of our audience. The KING OF THE FOREST is a 20km Longboard endurance race. Now in its 5th successful year, The KOTF has partnered with Metro Vancouver and the BC Brain Injury Association to promote and deliver a challenging and fun form of recreation for all rider skill levels. KOTF09 will be held in The Demonstration Forest on the Seymour Valley Trailway in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. The 5,200-hectare park located in the spectacular mountains of the North Shore featuring a wide paved trial that varies in elevation and direction. The paved path winds through a diverse forest and crosses scenic creeks and streams.
